What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module has a function that protects the fuel system from air. When the fuel level in the tank is very low, the engine runs deliberately poorly, as if misfiring, and loses power and speed. The code is set when the module detects that the tank is too low.
Possible causes
- Low fuel level in the tank
What you can do
- 1Refuel the tank and drive for a while
- 2Clear the code and check that it does not return once the tank has been filled
- 3If the fuel gauge shows enough fuel but the fault remains, have a workshop check the fuel level sensor
