What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) has found that the vehicle configuration data is missing, or does not match the software downloaded into the module. The fault can appear after a software download.
Possible causes
- The ECM has not been programmed
- The software in the engine control module does not match the vehicle's configuration
What you can do
- 1If the engine control module was recently replaced or reprogrammed, the fault is most likely a wrong configuration. Have a workshop configure it for your specific car
- 2Have a workshop check that the module has software that suits the car's configuration, and download the correct version if needed
- 3Clear the fault code only once the configuration is correct, and check that it does not come back
