What does this fault code mean?
The code relates to an internal fault in the engine control module. The engine does not start while the fault is present. If the fault stays after the code has been cleared, the module is probably defective.
Possible causes
- Defective engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault code and check whether it returns
- 2Check that the earth connections to the engine control module are tight and clean
- 3Check that the connectors at the engine control module are free from corrosion
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop replace the engine control module
