What does this fault code mean?
The ECM judges how reliable the clutch pedal sensor signal is when it arrives over the CAN network. If the signal quality is judged to be too low, the code is set. No known cause is given, so troubleshooting starts with the simple checks.
Possible causes
- Poor signal quality from the clutch pedal sensor, with the cause not further specified
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault code and check whether it returns
- 2Check that the clutch pedal moves freely and returns without sticking
- 3Check the connector at the clutch pedal sensor for play and corrosion
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, follow the clutch pedal position in live data while you press and release the pedal
- 5Have a workshop check the clutch pedal sensor if the fault remains
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
