What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module has registered a signal that is too high from the integrated atmospheric pressure sensor. The fault can lie in the signal cable, which may be shorted to voltage, or in the sensor.
Possible causes
- Signal cable short-circuited to voltage
- Damaged atmospheric pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Read the code with the ignition on, then clear it and see whether it returns
- 2Check the connectors to the engine control module for oxidation and play
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable is not shorted to voltage
- 4Have a workshop check that the engine control module software is the latest version, since new software can fix the fault
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the engine control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
