What does this fault code mean?
Although the fault is shown as a signal that is too low, it concerns the engine control module's own power stage, which controls the injector for cylinder 1. If the ECM finds a fault in that control, the code is set. The fault therefore lies in the control module itself.
Possible causes
- A fault inside the ECM itself
What you can do
- 1With diagnostic equipment and the ignition on, read the fault code's status and check that the fault is not active once the reading is complete
- 2Clear the fault code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop replace the engine control module if the fault returns after clearing and road testing
Symptoms you may notice1
