What does this fault code mean?
Although the fault concerns the fuel pressure sensor, it is the supply voltage to the sensor that is wrong. The ECM then sets the code, and engine speed may be limited.
Possible causes
- The supply wire to the sensor is shorted to supply voltage or ground
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check the connector at the fuel pressure sensor for contact resistance and oxidation
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the sensor is not shorted to supply voltage or ground
- 4Have a workshop replace the fuel pressure sensor if the connectors and wiring are intact
Symptoms you may notice2
- The engine will not start
- The engine stalls
What the fault can affect1
- Engine speed is limited
