What does this fault code mean?
The long-term correction on bank 2 has reached its lower limit. This means the engine control module has cut the fuel quantity as far as it can, because the mixture on bank 2 has been too rich.
Possible causes
- Fuel pressure is too high
- The injectors leak fuel
- The mass air flow sensor is defective
- The oil is contaminated
- The oil level is set too high
What you can do
- 1Check the oil level and whether the oil appears diluted or smells of fuel
- 2Have a workshop check the fuel pressure and the injectors if the fault remains
- 3Have a workshop check the mass air flow sensor if the fault remains after these checks
- 4With diagnostic equipment, read the bank 2 long-term correction at idle and see whether it is stable
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
