What does this fault code mean?
The cylinder 2 injector circuit reads too low. The likely causes are a signal wire touching ground or a damaged injector.
Possible causes
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground
- Damaged injector for cylinder 2
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Look for chafing on the wire to the cylinder 2 injector, especially where it may have been pressed against the body
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire has no contact with ground (the body)
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the cylinder 2 injector signal with the other cylinders in live data, with ignition on
- 5If the wire is undamaged, have a workshop check the injector
Symptoms you may notice2
- The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is on
- The engine is not running on all cylinders
