What does this fault code mean?
According to the fault code, the injector for cylinder 6 receives no signal. The engine may then not run on all cylinders. The cause can be in the connector, the wiring, the injector or the mass air flow sensor.
Possible causes
- Poor contact or corrosion at the connection to the injector
- Open circuit in the power supply to the injector
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Damaged mass air flow (MAF) sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test
- 2Check the connector at the cylinder 6 injector for play and corrosion
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire to cylinder 6 has continuity all the way
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: run an activation of the cylinder 6 injector and see whether it responds
- 5If the fault remains after checking the valve and wire, have a workshop check the mass air flow sensor
