What does this fault code mean?
The signal to the injector for cylinder 6 is too low. The fault may come from a signal wire shorted to ground or from a damaged injector.
Possible causes
- Short to ground in the signal wire to cylinder 6
- The injector for cylinder 6 is damaged
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Inspect the wiring to cylinder 6 for chafing where it may have been pressed against the body
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire to cylinder 6 has no contact with ground
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read the cylinder 6 signal in live data with the engine at idle
- 5If the wiring is intact but the fault remains, have a workshop check the cylinder 6 injector
