What does this fault code mean?
The fuel pressure valve signal reads too high. The fault code is set when the module detects that the control signal to the valve is faulty, which can be caused by a short to supply voltage in the signal wire or by a damaged valve.
Possible causes
- Signal wire short-circuited to supply voltage
- Damaged fuel pressure control valve
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check the connector at the fuel pressure control valve for play and oxidation
- 3With ignition on, use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the fuel pressure control valve is not shorted to supply voltage
- 4Look for chafing on the signal wire where it may have touched a live source
- 5If the wire is intact, have a workshop check or replace the fuel pressure control valve
Symptoms you may notice1
- A message appears in the information display
What the fault can affect1
- The module uses a calculated value
