What does this fault code mean?
The signal from the fuel pressure control valve is too low. The fault may be caused by the signal wire being shorted to ground or by a damaged valve.
Possible causes
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground
- Damaged fuel pressure control valve
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Inspect the signal wire for chafing where it may have been pressed against the body
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the fuel pressure control valve has no contact with ground (the body)
- 4Check the connector at the valve for oxidation and contact resistance
- 5If the wire is intact but the fault remains, have a workshop check the valve
Symptoms you may notice1
- A message appears in the information display
What the fault can affect1
- The module calculates the value instead
