What does this fault code mean?
The ECM has detected a faulty control signal for the fuel pressure control valve. The fault may be caused by a damaged valve.
Possible causes
- Damaged fuel pressure control valve
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check the connections and wiring to the fuel pressure control valve for play, contact resistance and oxidation
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the valve signal in live data with ignition on
- 4The fuel system can be under high pressure. Take care when working near the fuel lines
- 5Have a workshop measure the valve function and replace it if it is damaged
Symptoms you may notice1
- A message appears in the information display
What the fault can affect1
- The module works with a calculated value instead
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
