What does this fault code mean?
The control module has found a fault in its own internal circuit for knock control. Because the fault lies in the control module itself, it cannot be fixed by searching the wiring. The engine warning lamp may light, and engine power and boost pressure are limited until the fault is repaired.

- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and drive the car briefly; if the fault returns, the control module is probably damaged
- 2Check the battery and that the battery cables and ground connections are secure, since interference at start-up can cause temporary faults
- 3Have a workshop replace the control module if the fault remains or keeps returning
