What does this fault code mean?
The engine misfires on cylinder one during the first revolutions after starting. The code indicates cylinder one and can be checked while the engine runs. The causes lie in the fuel, the fuel pressure, the intake or the injection.
Possible causes
- Uneven compression
- Blocked crankcase ventilation
- Low fuel level
- Engine never reaches full operating temperature across repeated cold starts
- Contaminated or incorrect fuel
- Faulty fuel pressure
What you can do
- 1First investigate the other fault codes that affect camshaft control or the camshaft reset valve
- 2Check the fuel level in the tank and that the engine oil level is correct
- 3Check the spark plug on cylinder one
- 4Check the intake for leaks and the crankcase ventilation for blockages
- 5Check that the fuel suits the season
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the fuel pressure and the compression on cylinder one
Symptoms you may notice4

- The engine misfires
- The engine is difficult to start
