What does this fault code mean?
The engine has misfired on cylinder three during the first revolutions after it was started. The control module stores the code when the misfires are detected during starting and indicates cylinder three. The fault may have causes in the fuel, the fuel pressure, the intake or the injection.
Possible causes
- Low fuel level
- Engine never reaches full operating temperature across repeated cold starts
- Contaminated or incorrect fuel
- Air leakage
- Blocked or leaking injector
- Faulty fuel pressure
What you can do
- 1First investigate the other fault codes that affect camshaft control or the camshaft reset valve
- 2Check the fuel level in the tank and that the engine oil level is correct
- 3Check the spark plug on cylinder three
- 4Check the intake system for leaks
- 5Check that the fuel suits the season
