What does this fault code mean?
The control module has received faulty or no signal from the camshaft sensors for both intake and exhaust. The code is always set together with another code for a camshaft sensor signal fault, so both codes should be read.
Possible causes
- No signal from the camshaft sensors
- Faulty circuit for the camshaft sensors
What you can do
- 1Read the codes for both camshaft sensors, since this code always comes with another signal fault code
- 2Start with the other camshaft sensor code, because this code comes with it
- 3Check that the connectors to both camshaft sensors are secure and free from oxidation
- 4Have a workshop check the camshaft sensor circuits with diagnostic equipment
Symptoms you may notice2
- Uneven idle
- Poor performance
What the fault can affect3
- Camshaft control is switched off
- Diagnostic for camshaft control is switched off
- Boost pressure drops to its basic level
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
