What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module has detected an internal fault in the knock control circuit, meaning in its own part. The fault points to the control module itself, and it shows as reduced performance and a lit malfunction indicator.

- Damaged engine control module
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the engine control module connectors are secure and clean
- 3Check that the battery, the earth connections and the fuses for the control module are in order
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment decide whether the control module needs replacing
