What does this fault code mean?
The control module checks the signal wire to ignition coil 3 and sets the code when the signal is too low. The code identifies ignition coil 3.
Possible causes
- Signal wire shorted to ground
- Damaged ignition coil
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and restart the engine to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connector at ignition coil 3 is fastened and free from oxidation
- 3Inspect the wire to ignition coil 3 for chafing and pinched sections
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to coil 3 has no contact with ground
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check coil 3 with diagnostic equipment
