What does this fault code mean?

Possible causes
- Wire shorted to ground
- Damaged ignition coil
What you can do
- 1Check that the connector to ignition coil 4 is clean, dry and fully seated
- 2Look for chafing or pinch damage on the wire from the coil, especially where it moves
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire has no connection to ground when the connector is unplugged at the coil
- 4Read and clear the code, noting that it refers to ignition coil 4, then road test
- 5Have a workshop confirm the condition of the coil with diagnostic equipment once the wire has been checked
