What does this fault code mean?
The leak diagnosis is switched off when the signal from the leak diagnostic pump is too low. The fault is caused by the signal wire being short-circuited to ground.
Possible causes
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check the signal wire for a short circuit to ground
- 2Use a multimeter along the cable to find where the short circuit is
- 3Look for wires that may have chafed against the body
- 4Repair the short circuit and clear the fault code
- 5If no fault is found in these checks, have a workshop fit a new leak diagnostic unit
Symptoms you may notice1
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is on
What the fault can affect1
- The leak diagnostic is switched off
