What does this fault code mean?
At an earlier point the engine control module (ECM) detected an internal fault in itself, but the check shows the fault no longer exists. It is therefore intermittent and may already be gone when you read the code. The code is set in the engine control module.
Possible causes
- Signal fault inside the engine control module
- Defective engine control module
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code and note it, then erase it and test-drive to see whether it comes back
- 2Check the fuses for engine management and that the battery is charging as it should
- 3If the fault comes back or the engine will not start, have a workshop check the engine control module, since the fault is in it
Symptoms you may notice1
- The engine does not start
