What does this fault code mean?
The code shows that the automatic transmission control module has one or more of its own codes that affect emissions. The engine control module then sets its own code, and the environment lamp may come on. The code is a follow-on fault, so the transmission fault must be fixed first.
Possible causes
- One or more fault codes are stored in the transmission control module
What you can do
- 1Read and note the codes in the transmission control module first
- 2Fix the faults in the transmission control module. This code can only be cleared once they are repaired and cleared
- 3Then clear the engine module's code and road test to see whether it returns
