What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) receives a request over CAN from the transmission control module (TCM) to light the environment lamp. If that signal is missing or wrong, the code is stored. The accelerator pedal may then respond poorly and engine torque is limited, and a message appears in the display.
Possible causes
- The fault lies in the transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Read and note the codes in the transmission control module (TCM) first
- 2Then read the CAN-related codes in the central electronic module (CEM)
- 3Fix the faults in the transmission module and the CEM, then clear the engine module's code
Symptoms you may notice2
- The accelerator pedal responds poorly
- A message is shown in the text display
What the fault can affect1
- Requested engine torque is limited to a calculated reasonable value
