What does this fault code mean?
The ECM has logged a fault in one of its internal analogue-to-digital converters, which turn signals into digital values. The fault may come from the charging system or from low battery voltage, but also from an internal fault in the module. A message is shown in the display.
Possible causes
- Fault in the charging system
- Low battery voltage
- Internal fault in the ECM itself
What you can do
- 1Check the battery condition and voltage, since a weak battery can produce the code
- 2Check that the battery terminals and cable connections are tight and clean
- 3Have a workshop check the charging system with diagnostic equipment
- 4Clear the code and road test to see whether it returns. If it does with charging and battery in order, have a workshop check the engine control module
