What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) receives feed pump information over the CAN network. The code is set when the feed pump and the fuel pressure are both faulty at the same time. Engine performance may suffer or the engine may be hard to start, and a message is shown in the display.
Possible causes
- No voltage supply to the feed pump
- Fuel system fault, according to the other fault codes
- Feed pump signal missing or faulty on the CAN network
- Fault in the rear control module (REM)
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the engine control module and fix those for the fuel system first
- 2Check that the relevant fuses for the feed pump are intact
- 3With a multimeter, check that the supply lead to the feed pump is not broken
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the feed pump with it and listen for it to start
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the fuel pressure and the CAN communication to the rear control module
