What does this fault code mean?
The fault code concerns the glow plug relay itself. The engine control module stores it when it finds a fault in the relay, and the fault may lie either in the relay or in one of the glow plugs.
Possible causes
- Damaged glow plug relay
- Damaged glow plug
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop measure the resistance of each glow plug, since a damaged glow plug can cause the fault code
- 2With a diagnostic tool you can activate the glow plug relay and listen for a click
- 3Replace the glow plug relay if it does not click, or if the fault remains once the glow plugs have been checked
- 4Clear the fault code after the work and check that it does not come back
