What does this fault code mean?
The ECM has picked up an internal timing error in its own functions, caused by a damaged module. The fault applies to the C30, C70 (06-), S40 (04-), S60 (-09), V50, V70, V70 XC and XC90.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition on and wait a while before reading the status of the code
- 2Check that the fault is not active when the test is finished; if it is not active, it may have been stored on an earlier occasion
- 3Check the battery voltage and that the fuses for the engine control module are intact
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop replace the engine control module and program it
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
