What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) has found a fault in the voltage stabilizer that supplies the sensors. The code is set when the fault is detected. It is an internal fault in the control module, so the module needs replacing. A new control module is delivered without software and must be programmed after fitting.
Possible causes
- Defective engine control module
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and check whether it returns
- 2Check that the battery is in good condition and that the earth connections are tight and free from oxidation
- 3Have a workshop replace and program the control module; programming can only be done with workshop equipment
Symptoms you may notice3
- The engine cuts out
- The engine does not start
- The engine runs unevenly
