What does this fault code mean?
The ECM has registered an internal fault while the cruise control is active, and the code is set. The fault lies in the control module itself. While it is active the cruise control does not work.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1If you have diagnostic equipment, read the code status; if it shows the fault is present now, it is permanent, otherwise it has been intermittent
- 2Clear the code and check whether it comes back when the cruise control is used
- 3If the fault is permanent or returns, have a workshop replace and program the control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Cruise control does not work at all
What the fault can affect1
- Cruise control is switched off for as long as the fault is active
