What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) registers internally whether the car has been in a collision. The code is set when the control module receives signals that a collision has occurred, and The fault can only be detected once the test has started and the conditions are met.
Possible causes
- No specific causes are given for this code
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the instruction book or on the fuse box cover
- 2Check the relevant functions of the car with the buttons, controls and a road test to see whether anything behaves abnormally
- 3If none of the symptoms are present, the fault may not be present at the moment, so the check may need to be repeated later
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment, read the code status and the relevant parameters in live data
- 5Because this code concerns the crash signal, do not work on the crash safety system yourself; have a workshop check it if the code remains
Symptoms you may notice1
- The engine does not start
