What does this fault code mean?
The ECM finds a bad reading from the clutch pedal sensor, or receives an error message over CAN from the central electronic module (CEM) pointing to it. The code cannot be cleared until the fault in the CEM has been fixed and erased, so the codes in the CEM are dealt with first.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire to the clutch pedal sensor
- Incorrectly fitted clutch pedal sensor
- Damaged clutch pedal sensor
- The fault lies in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first and remedy them; this code can be cleared only after that
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment, read the clutch pedal value in live data while pressing and releasing the clutch pedal slowly; the value should change smoothly with the pedal movement
- 3Check that the clutch pedal sensor is fitted correctly and look for damage; check that its connections to the control module are tight and free from oxidation
- 4If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop check the clutch pedal sensor and the wiring
Symptoms you may notice1
- Cruise control does not work at all
What the fault can affect1
- Cruise control is switched off
