What does this fault code mean?
The ECM finds a signal from the clutch pedal sensor that is too high, or receives an error message over CAN from the central electronic module (CEM) that points to it. The code cannot be cleared until the CEM fault has been fixed and erased, so the CEM codes are dealt with first.
Possible causes
- Signal wire shorted to voltage
- Damaged clutch pedal sensor
- The fault lies in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first and remedy them; this code can be cleared only after that
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment, read the clutch pedal movement in live data while pressing and releasing the pedal slowly; the value should change with the pedal movement
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the clutch pedal signal wire has no contact with battery voltage
- 4Check that the clutch pedal sensor is fitted correctly and look for damage
Symptoms you may notice1
- Cruise control does not work at all
What the fault can affect1
- Cruise control is switched off
