What does this fault code mean?
The ECM finds a signal from the clutch pedal sensor that is too low, or receives an error message over CAN from the central electronic module (CEM) that points to it. Fault finding is done in the CEM first, since this code cannot be cleared until the fault there has been fixed and erased.
Possible causes
- The signal wire is shorted to ground
- A damaged clutch pedal sensor
- The fault lies in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first, and trace and fix them
- 2Clear this code only after the code in the CEM has been fixed and erased
- 3If you have diagnostic equipment, read the clutch pedal movement in live data while slowly pressing and releasing the pedal; the value should change with the pedal movement
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the clutch pedal sensor signal wire is not shorted to ground (the body), and check the connectors for oxidation
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the clutch pedal sensor
Symptoms you may notice1
- Cruise control does not work at all
What the fault can affect1
- Cruise control is switched off
