What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) has been sent an error report by the central electronic module (CEM) via CAN. It concerns a clutch pedal sensor that gives too high a signal, or a communication fault on the CAN network. There is no separate troubleshooting for this code, and it cannot be erased until the fault in the CEM is remedied.
Possible causes
- Too high a signal from the clutch pedal sensor, reported by the CEM
- Fault in the communication on the CAN network
What you can do
- 1First remedy the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM), as this code is set in the CEM first and then in the engine control module
- 2Erase the CEM fault codes once the cause is remedied, and then erase this code
- 3Check the connector at the clutch pedal sensor for loose contacts, oxidation and damage to the wiring
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read the clutch pedal position in live data and check that the value follows the pedal movement without jumps, from fully released to fully pressed
Symptoms you may notice1
- The cruise control cannot be used at all
What the fault can affect1
- The cruise control is switched off
