What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) has been sent an error report by the central electronic module (CEM) via CAN. It concerns a clutch pedal sensor that gives too low a signal, or a communication fault on the CAN network. There is no separate troubleshooting for this code, and it cannot be erased until the fault in the CEM is remedied.
Possible causes
- Too low a signal from the clutch pedal sensor, reported by the CEM
- Fault in the communication on the CAN network
What you can do
- 1First read off the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) and carry out the troubleshooting there
- 2Erase the CEM fault codes once the cause is remedied, and erase this code afterwards
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wiring to the clutch pedal sensor has no open circuit
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the clutch pedal position in live data with the actual pedal movement. The value should follow it without jumps
Symptoms you may notice1
- The cruise control does not work at all
What the fault can affect1
- The cruise control is switched off
