What does this fault code mean?
This code is never set on its own. It is always set together with one of the fault codes for the throttle position sensor circuit, and shows that there is a fault in that circuit. Remedy those other fault codes first, after which this code can be erased.
Possible causes
- Fault in the throttle position sensor circuit of the throttle unit
What you can do
- 1First remedy the fault codes for the throttle position sensors, such as ECM-9150 and ECM-9160, as this code follows from them
- 2Erase this code once the others are remedied, and test drive to check that it does not return
- 3If it returns after this, have a workshop trace the throttle position sensor circuit
Symptoms you may notice1
- The Check engine lamp lights
