What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns a clutch pedal sensor signal that is too low. The ECM sets it when it detects a fault in that signal. The fault may come from contact resistance in the connectors, incorrect fitting or a damaged sensor.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors
- Clutch pedal sensor fitted incorrectly
- Damaged clutch position sensor
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off: check the sensor connector for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2Check that the sensor is correctly fitted and adjusted if the status is wrong
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the sensor value in live data while the pedal is pressed and released. The value should follow the pedal
- 4If the fault remains once the connector and fitting are sound, have a workshop decide whether the sensor is damaged
Symptoms you may notice1
- Cruise control does not function at all
What the fault can affect1
- Cruise control is switched off
