Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The ECM compares the signal from the clutch pedal switch, which comes to it directly, with the clutch pedal position that the CEM sends over the CAN network from the clutch pedal sensor. The code is set at ignition on if the two do not agree, and it can also be set if the clutch pedal sensor is damaged.
Possible causes
- Damaged clutch pedal switch
- Damaged cable harness
- Damaged clutch position sensor
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes. If ECM-930C is stored in the ECM, deal with that code first, as it can lead to this one
- 2Check that the fuses are intact. Their locations are in the handbook or on the fuse box cover
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool and the car is from mid-November 2007 or later: with the ignition on, read the clutch switch status and press the clutch fully down
- 4Check the connectors and wiring to the clutch pedal switch and the sensor: are they secure, and is there oxidation, play or chafed wiring
- 5If the fault remains after this, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment decide whether the clutch pedal switch or the sensor is damaged
Symptoms you may notice1
- Autostart does not work
