What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is titled signal too low, it concerns a message from the CEM that the ECM gets over CAN. The message relates to the analog accelerator pedal sensor signal or to a CAN communication fault. Fault tracing is done in the CEM.
Possible causes
- The cause is sought in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Remedy the CEM fault codes first. Only after that can this code be cleared
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: see in live data how the accelerator value changes when the pedal is pressed and released, with the engine running
- 3If the code comes back after the CEM work, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment fault-trace further
- 4The accelerator pedal may be out of action when the brake is pressed. Do not drive with a fault in throttle response, and have a workshop check it at once
Symptoms you may notice2
- Poor accelerator pedal response
- Cruise control does not function at all
What the fault can affect1
- The accelerator pedal is disengaged when the brake is pressed
