What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named low fluid level, it concerns the fuel pressure in the mode where the fuel flow control valve regulates the pressure, that is when the engine is warm. The engine control module has registered an incorrect fuel pressure. A low fuel level in the tank is one of the possible causes.
Possible causes
- Low fuel level in the fuel tank
- Leakage in the fuel system
- Air in the fuel lines
- Blocked fuel filter
- Damaged fuel flow control valve (MPROP)
- Damaged tank pump
What you can do
- 1Check and fix any fault codes for the tank pump first
- 2Check the fuel level in the tank and top up if it is low
- 3Check the fuel system for leaks
- 4Check whether the fuel filter is blocked and replace it if needed
- 5Check the connector to the fuel flow control valve for contact resistance, oxidation and breaks
- 6Erase the code once the faults are fixed, then road test the car to see whether it returns
