What does this fault code mean?
The fuel flow control valve regulates the fuel pressure in an operating mode where the engine is warm, and the engine control module monitors the pressure in that mode. The fault code is set when the pressure is wrong. The fault can lie in the fuel supply, but also in the valve itself.
Possible causes
- Low fuel level in the fuel tank
- Leakage in the fuel system
- Air in the fuel lines
- Blocked fuel filter
- Damaged fuel flow control valve (MPROP)
- Damaged injection pump
What you can do
- 1Check and fix the tank pump fault codes first
- 2Top up the fuel if the tank is low, and check the fuel system for leaks
- 3Check whether the fuel filter is blocked
- 4Check the connector to the fuel flow control valve and to the fuel pressure sensor for breaks and oxidation
- 5Erase the fault code once the faults are fixed, then road test the car to see whether it returns
