What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module has found that fuel pressure is wrong while the engine is warm and the fuel flow control valve regulates pressure. The code is a mechanical fault where too little fuel reaches the injection pump.
Possible causes
- Low fuel level in the tank
- Leakage in the fuel system
- Air in the fuel lines
- Clogged fuel filter
- Faulty fuel flow control valve
- Faulty feed pump
What you can do
- 1Read the codes and fix any feed pump codes first, then clear the codes and road test
- 2Check the fuel level in the tank and add fuel if it is low
- 3Look for leaks in the fuel lines, especially if work has recently been done on the fuel system
- 4Check whether the fuel filter is clogged
- 5Check the connectors at the fuel pressure sensor and the flow control valve for loose or corroded parts
- 6If the fault returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the feed pump and the injection system
