What does this fault code mean?
This fault code is event-based and does not indicate a fault in the control module where it is active. It is information that the boost pressure sensor signal has been too high, too low, erratic or unreasonable. The code disappears by itself when the conditions no longer apply.
Possible causes
- Loose connection, contact resistance or oxidation in the connector
- Damaged boost pressure sensor (TMAP)
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes and first fix the other fault codes for the boost pressure sensor, since this one is a consequential fault
- 2Check the boost pressure sensor connector for loose connections and oxidation
- 3If it remains after the other fault codes have been fixed, it does not need to be fixed separately
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
