What does this fault code mean?
This fault code concerns the fuel system in an operating mode where the fuel pressure control valve controls the pressure, for example when the engine is cold. It is set when the pressure is wrong in that mode. The fault can lie in the fuel flow to the injection pump or in the pressure from it.
Possible causes
- Low fuel level in the tank
- Leak in the fuel system
- Air in the fuel lines
- Clogged fuel filter
- Damaged feed pump or injection valve
- Damaged fuel pressure control valve, fuel pressure sensor or injection pump
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuel level in the tank is sufficient
- 2Look for leaks in the fuel system and check the fuel lines
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the fuel pressure in live data with the engine cold against the pressure the control module requests
- 4Have a workshop check the feed pump and the injection valves if the fault remains
