What does this fault code mean?
This fault code concerns the fuel pressure in an operating mode where the fuel pressure control valve alone controls the pressure, for example when the engine is cold. It is set when the pressure is wrong in that mode and the circuit voltage is lower than the control module expects.
Possible causes
- Low fuel level in the fuel tank
- Leak in the fuel system
- Air in the fuel lines
- Clogged fuel filter
- Damaged feed pump
- Damaged injection pump
What you can do
- 1Start by topping up the fuel if the level is low
- 2Look for leaks in the fuel lines and check the fuel filter
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the fuel pressure in live data with the engine running and see whether it stays steady
- 4Have a workshop measure the voltage and check the connectors to the fuel pressure control valve, the feed pump and the injection pump
