What does this fault code mean?
This fault code concerns fuel pressure when the fuel pressure control valve controls the pressure by itself, for example when the engine is cold. It is set when the pressure is too low in that mode. The causes are a low fuel level, a leak, air, a clogged filter, or a fault in the pump, sensor or valve.
Possible causes
- Low fuel level in the tank
- Leak in the fuel system
- Air in the fuel lines
- Clogged fuel filter
- Damaged fuel pressure sensor or injection valve
- Damaged fuel pressure control valve or feed pump
What you can do
- 1Make sure there is fuel in the tank and top up if the level is low
- 2Look for leaks in the fuel system
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the fuel pressure in live data with the engine running against the requested pressure
- 4Have a workshop check the feed pump and the injection valves if the fault remains
