What does this fault code mean?
This fault code concerns the intake air temperature sensor at the inlet. It is recorded as intermittent, meaning sporadic, and may not be present right now. It is set when the signal from the sensor is too high or too low.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Signal wire shorted to voltage
- Damaged air temperature sensor at the inlet
What you can do
- 1Look for loose connections and chafed wiring at the sensor at the inlet
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no voltage with the ignition off
- 3Have a workshop check the sensor at the inlet if the fault returns
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
