What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the adaptation of the compressor bypass valve, meaning the learned values that control it. The code is stored when an adaptation value falls outside a predefined range.
Possible causes
- The bypass valve adaptation value is outside the expected range
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connections to the bypass valve are fully seated and free from corrosion
- 3Look for dirt or sticking at the compressor throttle and clean it if necessary
- 4Have a workshop reset the bypass valve adaptation once the mechanical parts have been checked, then confirm with a road test that the code does not return
